Toronto’s home prices may still have a ways to climb. The average sale price in June was nearly $640,000, or 12.3 per cent higher than a year earlier, according to the latest figures from the Toronto Real Estate Board. The average price of a detached home in the 416 region was above the $1-million mark for a fifth consecutive month. TREB’s director of market analysis noted that sales growth continues to outpace listings growth, and “as long as this situation persists, expect home prices to trend strongly upward.”
